MOD MOMS BY-LAWS

Moms join Mod Moms to socialize their child(ren) and meet other moms. We are all here for the same purpose so to make this the kind of club we all want to be in here are some guidelines to follow:

OUR PURPOSE

We are moms that are seeking friendship, fun and support for both mom and kid(s) that will last through the years and in turn build a stronger community.

DIVERSITY

We welcome all moms (expecting, stay-at-home & working) within our geographic boundaries.

RESPECT

We will treat each other and each other’s children with respect and understanding. We will help those that need help because we all know how difficult raising a child(ren) can be at times.
We will also show respect by a simple RSVP to events/playgroups.
We will not bring a sick child to an event.

COMMITMENT

This means a commitment to the club by paying dues on time, attending events (including playgroup) and helping our club become better and stronger with any ideas/suggestions you may have.

PLAYGROUPS

Every playgroup needs to determine their own set of “rules”. How to handle disciplinary problems before they occur. Agree that everyone’s parenting styles may be different from your own but to understand what those differences are before conflict may occur. The goal here is to have an open discussion, without judgment, so the playgroup as a whole can make some decisions about how problem situations will be handled before they occur.

COMMUNITY

Work as an organization to help better our community through education and networking. This means working with our public schools, charitable organizations and local businesses.

MOST IMPORTANTLY WE ARE HERE TO HAVE FUN!!!!

PRIVACY AND SECURITY POLICIES

At Mod Moms, keep all children happy, healthy, and SAFE is our number one priority. As we are both an on-line and community based organization, we must be especially vigilant when accepting new members and protecting the personal information for our current organization. With this in mind, Mod Moms requires the following:

  • All prospective new members are interviewed by our Membership Chair and must submit their paperwork and dues in person
  • Personal information (membership roster, playgroup assignments, etc.) is never shared beyond members in good standing
  • Membership lists are scrupulously maintained and authenticated
  • The public partition of the Mod Moms website has no SPECIFIC member information, playgroup information, or activity information within the public site boundaries
  • There is no access to the members only section through the public site - all members must be verified and authenticated before a login is provided
  • Rosters and personal information are never shared on-line
